As a tech company, we want to actively shape the future of boating/camping through our innovative, unconventional approaches and ideas.
We want to build the technology for the boat and caravan of the future.
Controlling your vehicle is much more than just ones and zeros, power on or off: it's the only interface between you and your beloved vehicle — the only way to communicate with it.
As Revotion, we remain impartial and independent of vehicle and accessory manufacturers. We believe in openness and tolerance.
Anyone who wants to turn their vehicle into a SmartBoat/SmartCaravan should have the option, regardless of which manufacturer your vehicle is from or which house your refrigerator comes from. We're for everyone. For every device. But especially for you.

Founder story:

Founders Jasper Ehmcke and Tim Londong met in 2019 through their studies in Düsseldorf. Jasper restored his family's electric boat over the years and needed a controller for the electronics on board. The previous offer was sobering, so that the desire to develop their own system together with Tim arose quite quickly.
The vision of a fresh, modern, smart control system was born and the creative possibilities seemed endless. In summer 2020, they installed the original prototype of the current system in this boat in Jasper's parents' garage and were quickly asked by other owners where they could buy it. Little by little, they recognized the incredible potential of the idea and decided to found REVOTION and further develop the system.
In 2021, they made major technical progress, became a finalist in the Arrow Accelerator, were interviewed by VIVID magazine and were finally able to complete their first funding round. Since 2022, they have set up a five-person development team, moved into their own office and have already acquired their first customers. And it's only just now that it's really getting started!

Jasper Ehmcke

Founding motivation & resume
He has been interested in boats and caravans since early childhood, and it is now all the more wonderful for him to be able to help shape this industry himself.
He studied business administration with a focus on marketing at the HSD in Düsseldorf and is now using this experience for Revotion.
As a professional yacht and product photographer, he has with his own manufacturing company A good understanding of the industries, was able to establish many valuable contacts over the years and even actively shape the development of a young yacht manufacturer. As a speaker for Boot Düsseldorf 2020, he gave daily lectures on yacht photography and his pictures were printed in a large architectural photo book and calendars.

Tim Londong

Founding motivation & resume
Tim has already implemented over 20 private IoT projects, including turning his own van into a camper and equipping it with the latest app-controlled technology, developed a fully automatic heating system and developed a digital control system for an aquarium. Tim has been familiar with the caravan industry for many years through points of contact within his family and annual camping trips in a motorhome.
Thanks to his studies and good contacts in the electrical engineering sector, Tim is always up to date with new components, processes and technical refinements and is very quickly inspired by new topics, which he then incorporates into the development of the REVOTION system.

Not far from our office in Düsseldorf, our own show boat will be in the Roermond Lake District from July 2022. This not only allows us to develop our system more permanently and faster, but you can also experience it hands-on. More about this shortly.
